Job summary

Cumberland City Council is seeking an Aquatic Centre Team Leader to oversee operations and programs across five aquatic sites. You will ensure safe, clean, and welcoming facilities and lead a skilled team to deliver high-quality services.

The role is permanent and full-time, located at council Swim Centres with travel across worksites. NSW Local Government award applies with a weekly salary and 12% superannuation.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV – Pool Management (or equivalent).
• Current Pool Lifeguard Licence.
• Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.
• Current HLTAID009 Provide CPR.
• Aquatic Technical Operator Certificate (or equivalent).
• Current Chemcert AQF3 Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Experience in operations and management of aquatic facilities.
• Experience in leading and managing a multi-faceted team.
• Sound knowledge of industrial relations, legislation and industry best practice.
• Computer literacy, particularly in the MS Office suite.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skill.
• Proven ability to work productively as part of a team.
• Sound knowledge in WHS practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations and management of the Aquatic Centres and programs.
• Provide patrons and hirers with high-quality customer service and safe, well-presented facilities.
• Lead and manage a multi-faceted team across centres.
• Travel across Council worksites as required.
