Job summary

The Apprentice is responsible for assisting Workshop Technicians with all functions within the workshop including carrying out pre-delivery of machines, service and repairs to customer and company owned Elevating Work Platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers.

You will learn to evaluate machine performance, inspect designs and comply with specifications, and assist with installing, testing, repairing and modifying electronic and hydraulic equipment while performing general workshop duties.

Qualifications

• Must undertake a 4 year apprenticeship with on-the-job training and block theory.
• Qualifications will include Cert III in Elevating Work Platforms or Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology.
• Ability to communicate clearly, follow instructions and work independently and in a team.
• Proficient language, literacy and numeracy to read manuals and safety information.

Responsibilities

• Assist Workshop Technicians with pre-delivery, service and repairs of Elevating Work Platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers.
• Learn to evaluate machine performance and inspect designs for compliance with specifications.
• Assist with installing, testing, repairing and modifying electronic and hydraulic equipment.
• Contribute to general workshop duties and adhere to WHS and environmental policies.
