Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Workshop Technician to service and repair mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers in the workshop and in the field.

You will evaluate equipment performance, inspect designs for specifications, and perform testing, repairs and modifications to electronic, mechanical and hydraulic systems, while ensuring safety and quality standards and supporting apprentice training.

Qualifications

• Experience in servicing MEWPs, telehandlers, and lighting towers.
• Ability to read and follow electrical/mechanical diagrams and manuals.
• Proactive in safety, quality, and paperwork requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating performance of equipment.
• Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications.
• Installing, testing, servicing, repairing, and modifying electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment and machines.
• May work with other equipment such as hydraulic hoses and small diesel engines.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and assess machines for good order.
• Repair and maintain MEWP, Lighting Towers and Telehandlers for customers and the company.
• Assist with training and supervising Apprentices.
• Maintain workspace, follow WHS and environmental policies.
• Complete required paperwork and inspection forms to ANZ standards and customer/site requirements.
• Conduct periodic inspections of machines per ANZ standards.
• Participate in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.
• Generate sales and service leads when possible and collaborate with the team.
