Job summary

Roy Powell Security is seeking a Security Apprentice to join our locally owned team in Queensland. The role offers hands-on experience alongside experienced technicians, focusing on installation, maintenance and servicing of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.

You will gain practical knowledge in security technology while pursuing a Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology, with support to obtain the Queensland Class 2 Security Adviser / Equipment Installer Licence.

Qualifications

• Manual Driver's Licence (essential)
• Construction White Card
• Ability to work in diverse environments including heights, ceiling spaces and outdoors
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Strong interest in electronics, IT, networking or technology
• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
• Reliable, hardworking and team oriented
• Willingness to travel to regional and remote locations across Queensland

Licensing Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to obtain a Queensland Class 2 Security Adviser / Equipment Installer Licence. Roy Powell Security will assist the successful candidate with obtaining this licence.
