Apprentice Electronic Security Technician

Rockhampton | Gladstone | Mackay | Mount Isa | Cairns | Emerald | Townsville – Full-Time

Due to continued growth and success within the security industry, we are seeking an Apprentice Electronics Security Technicianto join our team at one of our branches.

About the Job

As an apprentice, you’ll get hands‑on experience installing and maintaining CCTV, alarms, access control, surveillance systems, data cabling and data networks - the technology that keeps people and places safe.

This four-year apprenticeship combines paid, on‑the‑job training with TAFE Queensland study, so you can earn while you learn. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, gain industry certifications, and take on varied jobs across different sites (with some travel and occasional after‑hours work).

We welcome school leavers and adult apprentices who are keen to build a rewarding career in a high‑tech, fast‑growing industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Undertake a National Police Check
  • Complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Obtain a Security Provider Licence
  • Obtain a Blue Card – Working with Children Check
