Red Flag Security is offering a four-year apprenticeship for hands-on training in electronic security on Melbourne construction sites. The role combines field work with formal study to obtain a Certificate III in Security Equipment at Box Hill TAFE.
You’ll work with experienced technicians, learning to install and commission video surveillance, access control and alarm systems while developing the practical skills needed for a professional trade.
AI is reshaping office jobs before they've even started. A trade doesn't have that problem. You can't install a camera system, run cable through a warehouse roof, or commission an access control system from a chatbot. What you build with your hands and your head stays yours.
Security is a different kind of trade — some days you're on tools, pulling cable, working at height, on construction sites, in the outdoors, learning to install proper systems the right way. Other days you're on a laptop, programming, networking, testing, commissioning — making sure everything you've installed talks to everything else. It's a genuine mix of brains and brawn if you like variety over routine.
Red Flag Security is a commercial and industrial electronic security business based in Seaford, working across Melbourne — warehouses, cold storage, manufacturing and production sites. We install video surveillance, access control and alarm systems for builders and end clients who need things done properly.
We're building a reputation as the security specialist builders reach for without hesitation — and that means the people on our team need to be good at what they do, and proud of it.
