This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in the automotive trade, specifically within parts identification and interpretation. As an Apprentice Parts Interpreter, you will develop essential skills in understanding vehicle components, parts catalogues, and supply chain management whilst working alongside experienced professionals. This role is fundamental to ensuring our customers receive the correct parts and that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Learning to identify and interpret vehicle parts using parts manuals, digital catalogues, and technical documentation
Assisting in the accurate picking, checking, and packaging of automotive parts, ensuring the correct parts have been received.
Supporting the parts team in maintaining inventory accuracy and organisation within the parts department
Developing knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and part compatibility across different automotive platforms
Liaising with mechanics to clarify parts requirements and provide recommendations
Utilising parts management systems and software to locate, track, and manage inventory
Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and organised work environment in compliance with workplace health and safety standards
Assisting with stock rotation and managing parts storage to prevent obsolescence and damage
Entering and updating stock information accuratley using our computer systems
Driving to collect and deliver parts when required
General workshop and parts department duties
A genuine interest in the automotive industry and a commitment to completing an apprenticeship in Parts Interpretation or a related automotive trade
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, as parts identification requires precision
Basic numeracy and literacy skills to interpret technical documentation and catalogues
Good communication abilities to interact effectively with team members and customers
Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn from experienced professionals
Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, and organising parts in a warehouse environment
Ability to work as part of a team whilst also taking direction and completing tasks independently
A current, valid driver's licence is a must
