Job summary

Northeast Auto Group on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a Parts Interpreter or Junior Apprentice to join our growing Parts team. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive and hands-on environment within the heavy vehicle industry.

As part of our Parts team, you’ll assist customers and technicians to identify, source and supply the right parts for heavy vehicles, building valuable industry knowledge and progressing your career with Northeast Auto Group.

Qualifications

• Experience in parts interpretation or genuine interest in starting a career in heavy vehicle industry.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and technicians with identifying and sourcing the correct parts
• Identify parts using part numbers, catalogues and manufacturer systems
• Process parts orders accurately and efficiently
• Receive, check and organise incoming parts
• Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records
• Work closely with technicians, suppliers and other members of the Parts team
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Develop knowledge of heavy vehicle parts and components

About the Role

As part of our Parts team, you’ll play an important role in helping customers and technicians identify, source and supply the right parts for heavy vehicles.

For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to build valuable industry knowledge, develop your parts interpretation skills and grow your career within the Northeast Auto Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers and technicians with identifying and sourcing the correct parts

About You

We’re open to hearing from qualified Parts Interpreters and Junior Apprentices who are eager to learn and build a career in the heavy vehicle industry.

• Previous Parts Interpretation experience, or a genuine interest in starting a career in the industry
• A passion for trucks, heavy vehicles, automotive or mechanical products
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Previous heavy vehicle or automotive experience will be highly regarded
