Job summary

Western Truck Repairs is seeking a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Panel Beater to grow skills on heavy vehicles, under the AMA Group – Heavy Motors division. You’ll learn from experienced tradespeople in a collaborative workshop that values growth and hands-on learning.

You’ll assist with panel repairs, welding and fabrication techniques, and work as part of a team to deliver quality outcomes while progressing toward your trade qualification.

Qualifications

• Currently completing your 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship in Panel Beating.
• Genuine passion for the automotive and heavy vehicle repair industry.
• Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to completing your trade qualification.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairing and replacing damaged panels on trucks, buses, and trailers.
• Learn and apply welding, cutting and fabrication techniques.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicles in line with repair plans.
• Check, label and organise vehicle parts throughout the repair process.
• Assist with fitting new components and carrying out quality repairs.
• Work alongside qualified tradespeople to further develop your skills and knowledge.
