Job summary

OSMAC Apprenticeships is seeking an Apprentice Panel Beater in Brendale to join a busy team and gain formal qualifications while building hands-on skills on a range of vehicles.

You will remove and repair panels, form replacements, and prep surfaces for painting, with a mentor and strong training values to support progression in a great workplace.

Qualifications

• High level mechanical aptitude.
• High attention to detail.
• Have a genuine interest in panel beating and take pride in workmanship.
• A manual licence / reliable transport.
• Be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status.
• Be open to gaining experience in all facets of the trade.

Responsibilities

• Removing, repairing & replacing damaged panels on any vehicle.
• Making or forming panels to replaced damaged ones.
• Repair dents on a damaged vehicle using fillers.
• Filing, grinding & sanding the body of a vehicle to restore a smooth vehicle surface.
• Re-fit body hardware, such as door locks.
• Realign chassis & body frames.
• Removing & replacing a vehicle's auto-electric components if damaged.
• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking and priming.

Our client based in Brendale is currently seeking an Apprentice Panel Beater to join their busy team and be ready to hit the ground running.Persons with relevant industry experience that wish to gain formal qualifications are encouraged to apply.

The Role:

Removing, repairing & replacing damaged panels on any vehicle

Making or forming panels to replaced damaged ones
