Downer Rail and Transit Systems invites motivated individuals to join its 4-year, full-time Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship. This fixed-term program combines formal TAFE study with hands-on training under seasoned mentors at our Cardiff Maintenance Centre and other Downer sites.

Open to school leavers and mature-aged applicants, the apprenticeship emphasizes hands-on skill development, health and safety, and a clear path to trade qualifications and career progression within Downer.

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Strong competency in Mathematics.
• Completion of Year 12 School Certificate or equivalent (desirable).

The Role:
