Job summary

Simplot Bathurst Plant offers a 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship to learn and work across a wide range of manufacturing equipment in a busy FMCG environment. You will join a skilled maintenance electrical team on a Monday–Friday day shift, with exposure to safety, electrical control systems and automation.

The program commences late 2026 / early 2027, with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, TAFE blocks, and career development within a global food-manufacturing leader.

Qualifications

• Display strong interest in electrical systems, automation or industrial technology.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to learning.
• Commitment to safety, health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to safety initiatives and maintain 100% commitment to health and wellbeing.
• Learn industry best practices in preventative maintenance and breakdown repair of electrical equipment.
• Attend mandatory TAFE training blocks throughout the apprenticeship.
• Develop problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Work with a range of hand tools and equipment and use CMMS.
• Develop skills in process automation and instrumentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and production teams on maintenance activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Learn and maintain a broad range of manufacturing equipment and systems.
