Job summary

Housing Industry Association (HIA) Apprentices on the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers region is seeking a proactive Group Training Field Officer to recruit host employers and apprentices and to deliver mentoring and support throughout the apprenticeship journey.

You will visit sites, build strong relationships with schools, training providers and industry stakeholders, and drive growth opportunities while ensuring high-quality service for apprentices and hosts.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to generate and secure new business opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Ability to obtain or hold a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
• Ability to engage effectively with apprentices, employers and industry stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Recruit new host employers and apprentices across the residential building industry.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide mentoring and support services.
• Conduct site visits and provide guidance and counselling to apprentices.
• Undertake workplace assessments and identify new business opportunities.
• Coordinate host rotations and advise on training agreements and apprenticeship obligations.
