Job summary

MEGT is seeking an Apprenticeships Field Consultant to promote and support Australian Apprenticeships across NSW. You’ll work with employers and apprentices to facilitate National Training Contracts, provide guidance on support services and incentives, and build lasting regional relationships.

This field-based role rewards relationship management and community impact, with duties including school visits, presentations, and business development to grow commencements.

Qualifications

• Experience in account management, business development or similar.
• Strong customer service, communication and administration skills.
• Professional, customer-focused approach with strong organisation skills.
• Results-oriented mindset balanced with integrity and empathy.
• Knowledge of the VET sector or Australian Apprenticeships (highly regarded).
• Current driver’s licence and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Sign up apprentices and trainees to National Training Contracts.
• Educate employers and apprentices on available support services, incentives, and funding.
• Build strong relationships with schools, RTOs, industry, and community stakeholders.
• Deliver presentations and information sessions at schools, community events, and workplaces.
• Support business development activities to grow apprenticeship commencements.
• Monitor progress, identify risks to retention or completion, and refer to support services.
• Manage time effectively across engagement activities, administration, and KPIs.
• Stay up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and MEGT procedures.
