Job summary

Questas Group's Cylinder SupaCentre in Neerabup offers an Apprentice Fitter & Machinist role starting December/January. You'll gain hands-on exposure to a wide trade skill set across sites, with in-house repair processes and a high-speed workflow that supports Western Australia’s mining, construction and heavy manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside senior fitters and machinists on hydraulic cylinder repair and rebuild.
• Learn to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Assist with inspection, disassembly, and reassembly of hydraulic cylinders.
• Gain exposure to hard chrome plating and surface finishing processes.

About the Opportunity

In 2025, Berendsen Fluid Power opened the Cylinder SupaCentre in Neerabup - a 6,900 m² facility purpose-built for hydraulic cylinder repair, and one of the most advanced of its kind in the country. It was designed from the ground up to support Western Australia's mining, construction, and heavy manufacturing sectors, with a high-speed repair process that keeps customer fleets moving.

We're looking for an Apprentice Fitter & Machinist to join the SupaCentre team, starting December/January. Because every stage of the repair process is handled in-house, you'll get exposure to a wide trade skill set across different sites - machining, honing, welding, grinding, sandblasting, painting, and hard chrome plating for cylinder rod resurfacing.

You'll also have the opportunity to rotate across our local branches during your apprenticeship, giving you exposure to different equipment, processes, and specialisations.

You won't be figuring this out on your own. Through our Elevate Apprenticeship Program, you'll have a mentor in your corner, structured learning through the Elevate Academy, and a wider community of apprentices across Questas Group going through the same journey.
