Job summary

Driveline Services Australia is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Fitter and Turner in Acacia Ridge, QLD. This entry-level role lets you earn while you learn, gaining practical workshop experience and nationally recognised qualifications as you develop into a tradesperson.

You will work with experienced tradespeople to assemble, maintain and repair powertrain components across various vehicles and machinery, while learning to read drawings and operate lathes, mills and grinders.

Responsibilities

• Complete a formal apprenticeship in Fitting and Turning.
• Assist experienced tradespeople with the assembly, maintenance and repair of mechanical components.
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams and specifications.
• Develop skills using workshop machinery, including lathes, milling machines and grinders.
• Assist with mechanical repairs, maintenance and overhauls.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe workshop.

About the role

Are you mechanically minded, enjoy working with your hands and want to build a career in a skilled trade?

Driveline Services Australia is looking for a motivated Apprentice Fitter and Turner to join our team in Acacia Ridge, QLD.

This is an exciting opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining practical workshop experience and nationally recognised qualifications as you develop into a skilled tradesperson. You'll work alongside experienced team members, learning to assemble, maintain and repair powertrain and underbody components used across a wide range of vehicles and machinery.

What you'll be doing

• Complete a formal apprenticeship in Fitting and Turning.
