Job summary

Evolution Mining’s Northparkes Operations is offering a four-year Apprenticeship Program for aspiring electricians. You’ll receive hands-on training from experienced tradespeople, with TAFE accreditation and necessary tools provided.

The roster is a Monday–Friday schedule within a 9-day fortnight, focusing on reliable electrical maintenance across plant and site infrastructure. You’ll attend TAFE, complete formal training, and contribute to preventative maintenance and system upgrades while

Qualifications

Year 12 completion and a current Driver’s Licence.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to learn in electrical trades through Apprenticeship.
Comfort with computers and digital systems.

Responsibilities

Driving a strong safety culture through active caring and accountability
Completing risk assessments and complying with safety systems and procedures
Conducting installation, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems including IT networks and communication systems
Attending TAFE and completing formal training requirements
Performing preventative maintenance and shutdown repairs on high and low voltage infrastructure
Identifying defects and providing detailed feedback on work orders
Supporting maintenance planning and contributing to equipment upgrades
Maintaining schedule compliance and promoting maintenance best practices
Demonstrating behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values
