Job summary

AMD Fire Protection is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join their team in a full-time role, working across residential and commercial clients.

You will assist with installation, servicing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems, including detectors, wiring and fire panels, while supporting qualified electricians on site.

• Assist with fit-out and construction projects, including modifications to existing fire systems.
• Assisting qualified Electricians as required

The role

AMD Fire Protection has an opportunity for an Apprentice Electrician to join their team in a full-time role, working across both residential and commercial clients.

Day to day duties include

• Assist with the installation, servicing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems.
• Assist with installing smoke detectors, heat detectors, speakers, warning systems and associated fire equipment.
• Installation of wiring, conduit, smoke and heat detectors, Fire Panels & OWS/Ewis Panels
• Assist with fit-out and construction projects, including modifications to existing fire systems.
• Assisting qualified Electricians as required

Experience required

We are looking for someone who is reliable, and keen to develop their skills. You will be a practical, hands‑on person with a strong work ethic, clear communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

• Currently enrolled in a relevant Electrical TAFE course or apprenticeship program
• Hold a current White Card
• Hold a valid Australian driver’s licence
• Ability to work well and contribute positively within a team environment
• A positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and develop your skills
