Job summary

HTN Australia at Randwick is seeking an Apprentice Chef to kick-start a culinary career in a high-volume venue. You’ll train under qualified chefs, learn new techniques and contribute to dish preparation and presentation.

As an apprentice, you’ll gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, receive full uniform and meals, and work across events at Royal Randwick Racecourse with access to on-site parking and easy public transport.

Qualifications

• Apprentice will learn alongside qualified Chefs in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.
• Exposure to large scale events in a bustling kitchen environment.
• Ability to work with seasonal ingredients and multiple cuisines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of dishes.
• Operate kitchen equipment under supervision.
• Learn different knife and cooking techniques.
