Job summary

Star Hotels Group in Townsville is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Chef to join our busy kitchen team. You will assist with meal prep, learn procedures, and work under the supervision of the chef in a fast-paced environment.

This apprenticeship covers basic culinary skills, knife skills, knowledge of ingredients and use of commercial equipment. You must be an Australian citizen or have full working rights and be flexible to weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Assisting the chef in the preparation and cooking of meals.

We are looking for an Apprentice Chef to join our busy team.

Our kitchen works at a fast pace and work schedules will include weekends.

You will need to be passionate about food, career driven and a team player.

Training for an apprentice cook covers basic culinary skills, knife skills, knowledge of ingredients, use of commercial equipment and kitchen procedures.
