Job summary

Prestige Staffing is seeking a motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join an established residential builder in the Mildura region. You will gain hands-on experience on a range of residential projects while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry.

No prior carpentry experience is required—just a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn. You’ll work with experienced tradespeople, receive mentoring, and develop practical skills to become a qualified

Qualifications

• Interest in carpentry and residential construction.
• Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Reliable, punctual and motivated.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding hands-on construction tasks.
• Commitment to completing a four-year apprenticeship.
• White Card (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Assist with residential house construction from slab through to handover.
• Construct wall frames, roof trusses and flooring systems.
• Assist with the installation of doors, windows, skirting, architraves and internal fit-out.
• Measure, mark and cut timber and other building materials.
• Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools.
• Learn to read and interpret building plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, subcontractors and other trades.
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.
