Job summary

Prestige Staffing Solutions invites applications for an Apprentice Carpenter in Mildura, VIC. This full-time apprenticeship runs for four years, leading to a nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry.

You will work with an established residential builder, gaining hands-on experience across multiple stages of residential construction and learning from qualified tradespeople. No prior carpentry experience is required, only a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in carpentry and residential construction.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, punctual and motivated attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with residential house construction from slab through to handover.
• Construct wall frames, roof trusses and flooring systems.
• Assist with the installation of doors, windows, skirting, architraves and internal fit-out.
• Measure, mark and cut timber and other building materials.
• Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools.
• Learn to read and interpret building plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, subcontractors and other trades.
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.
