About the Company

Our client is one of Sunraysia's leading commercial construction companies, with more than 20 years building a name for quality across Mildura and the wider region. Their portfolio spans commercialfit-outs, education and community facilities, and government and infrastructure projects — the kind of work that stays on the ground and in conversation for years after handover. They run a lean, experienced crew, keep a steady pipeline of work rather than boom-and-bust, and hold their own finish standards higher than most builders in the region even attempt. It'sa genuinely local business, owned and run in Mildura, not a head office three states away.

About the Role

Based in Mildura, this role is for a Carpenter / Leading Hand who can be handed a set of commercial drawings and a crew, and be trusted to deliver both to a standard the business can put its name to. Day to day, that means running your own section of a commercial build, reading and working from architectural and structural drawings, keeping subcontractors and apprentices moving in the right direction, and catching the small things, a bad joint, a rushed fix, a corner someone tried to cut, before they become a problem at practical completion. You'll have real input into how a job runs, not just how your section of it gets built, and there's a clear path from here into a permanent Leading Hand or site supervisor role for the right person.

Whatyou'llbring

• A trade qualification(Certificate III Carpentry or equivalent)backed by genuine commercial construction experience, not just residential.
• An eye for detail and a finishyou'dbe happy to put your name to.
• The confidence to run a site day-to-day: reading drawings, coordinating subcontractors, and keeping a crew, including apprentices,on track without needing to be chased.
• A current driver's licence and a genuine,demonstratedcommitment to safety.
• Leading Hand or supervisory experience is well regarded but not essential if the rest of the fit is right.

What'son offer

• Competitiveremuneration, based on experience.
• A steady pipeline of premiumlocalcommercial work, not a revolving door of small jobs.
• A genuinely local, establishedemployer witha track recordin the region, not a fly-in outfit.
• Real scope to grow into a permanent Leading Hand or site supervisor position.
