Job summary

OpenAI is hiring an Applied AI Architect based in Sydney, Australia, to be the senior technical owner for a named portfolio of customers. You will shape AI strategies and guide projects from pre-sales discovery through production adoption, designing architectures across ChatGPT Enterprise, the OpenAI API, Codex, and other agentic AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture or technical account leadership.
• Proven success guiding enterprises from evaluation to production adoption.
• Strong software and cloud architecture foundations (APIs, distributed systems, data integration and security).

Responsibilities

• Own the named portfolio and serve as the primary technical advisor.
• Partner with Account Directors on account strategy and milestones.
• Lead discovery with executives to identify business-ready use cases.
• Develop applied AI architectures spanning models, data, and integration.
• Guide customers through evaluations, workshops, and proofs of value.
• Track adoption, usage, and measurable customer impact.
