Job summary

Amentum in Alice Springs seeks an Application Support Specialist to analyze, test, and implement site-wide information systems and operating systems. You will respond to user and system problems, plan upgrades, and coordinate maintenance with vendors, reporting to the Deputy or Functional Area Manager.

Responsibilities include end-user support, server and network maintenance, and documenting procedures. You’ll work in a dynamic environment with security clearance requirements and health/safety

Qualifications

• Year 12 completion.
• Professional certifications in security, networks or IT foundations as listed.
• Formal CS/IT qualifications or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second level end-user support for a wide range of systems.
• Maintain and configure servers, Cisco CallManager and network users.
• Resolve hardware/software problems on printers, laptops and desktops.
• Set up computers with software, patches and network settings; support Windows and Linux OS.
• Support remote access issues via FTP, RDP or VPN; document IT procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors for purchases and updates.
• Provide low-level support for internal applications (e.g., PHP, JSP, SQL).
• Ensure health, safety and EHS compliance at site.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required.
