Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Application Support Specialist to analyze, modify, and implement site-wide information systems while supporting Windows and Linux environments. You will respond to user and system problems, configure servers, and coordinate upgrades and maintenance.

The role requires strong communication, 3 years’ IT support experience, and familiarity with VMware, SQL, PHP/JSP, and network basics. You will document procedures and ensure health and safety practices at site.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in IT support and systems administration.
• Proficient in configuring servers, networks, and end-user devices.
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2012/Win7 and Linux OS.
• Experience with HTML, PHP, JSP, and MySQL is a plus.
• Security certifications and ITIL knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd level end-user support for business applications.
• Maintain and configure virtual servers and VoIP systems.
• Resolve hardware and software problems on printers, laptops, desktops.
• Set up computers with software, patches, and network settings.
• Assist with security patches and vendor coordination.
• Document IT procedures and manuals.
