Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland is seeking an Application Specialist based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, to own and support HR applications with a focus on Oracle HCM. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, well-governed systems delivering ongoing value.

• Ability to manage system enhancements, testing, change impacts, and release activities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

• Acting as the technical owner and subject matter expert for HR platforms such as Oracle HCM, Pay Global / Aurion and Optima
• Managing application operational health, configuration, access management and governance.
• Lead continuous improvement of owned applications through system optimisation, automation, feature adoption, and elimination of manual workarounds.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee application upgrades, releases, and maintenance activities, including impact assessment, testing, and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain application documentation, knowledge management, and cross-skilling practices to support operational continuity and supportability.
• Manage vendor performance and support escalation management, coordinating the resolution of complex issues with internal stakeholders, vendors and technical specialists where required.

The Application Specialist is responsible for the technical ownership, support, and continuous improvement of critical HR applications, with a strong focus on Oracle HCM. Working closely with business stakeholders, this role ensures systems remain secure, reliable, well-governed, and aligned to business requirements while delivering ongoing operational value.

This role is a full time permanent position based in Fortitude Valley.
