Job summary

ABS Service Solutions, a family-owned Electrical, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning company in Townsville, is seeking an experienced Appliance Service Technician to join our team.

You will service, maintain and repair domestic and commercial appliances across private, corporate, government facilities in the Townsville area, reporting to the Service coordinator. The role emphasises safety, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Restricted and/or Electrical licence.
• Current CPR/LVR.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Industry Standards and Safe Work Practices OHSE procedures.
• Willingness to adhere to site procedures and work in Townsville region.
• Commitment to a long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown service, fault diagnoses, repairs, testing and commissioning of electrical appliances.
• Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
• Quality workmanship while maintaining company standards and safety.
• Provide training and support to apprentices.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Perform duties in and around the Townsville North Queensland area.

ABS Service Solutions is a family owned Electrical, Refrigeration and Air conditioning company, consistently delivering a diverse range of service, repair and maintenance solutions to public and private sector clientele.

Due to continual company expansion, we are seeking an experienced Appliance Service Technician to join our team.

This is a diverse position where you will be responsible for service, maintenance and repairs across a range of domestic/commercial jobs for clients within private, corporate, government indoor and outdoor facilities.

Reporting directly to the Service coordinator, your duties will encompass servicing a high quality and varied clientele base.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Breakdown service, fault diagnoses, repairs, testing and commissioning of electrical appliances
• Ensurea continual high level of customer service and satisfaction
• Quality workmanship while maintaining company standards and safety
• Provide training and support to apprentices
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Perform duties in and around the Townsville North Queensland area

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate for this position will be a passionate and results focused service Technician and or electrician.

The key to success in this position is excellent technical skills accompanied by a strong service ethic with good written and verbal communication skills; the following skills and attributes are highly considered.

• Current Queensland Restricted and or Electrical licence
• Current CPR/ LVR
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Prior experience in domestic/commercial fieldsDemonstrated knowledge of Industry Standards
• Understanding of Safe Work Practices, OHSE Procedures
• Willingness to adhere to site appropriate procedures
• Strong sense of initiative, ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Possess confidence in personnel skills to make decisions
