Job summary

Compliant Gas & Electrical is seeking a qualified electrical technician for our service team across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. The role focuses on diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and preventive maintenance of commercial refrigeration and food preparation gear.

Qualifications

Current Queensland driver licence and a suitable Queensland electrical licence (Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, Electrician or restricted electrical licence).
Construction white card and ability to obtain a police check due to work in aged care and similar environments.
Type A Gas Servicing licence would be an advantage but not essential; company will support training.

Compliant Gas & Electrical is looking for a qualified electrical technician to join our growing service team across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.

We specialise in servicing, repairing and installing commercial refrigeration, cooking, food preparation and warewashing equipment. Our customers include restaurants, pubs, hotels, aged care facilities, hospitals, production kitchens and other commercial sites.

Commercial food equipment experience would be highly regarded, but it is not essential. If you have strong electrical fault-finding skills and the right attitude, we can provide the equipment and manufacturer training.

Compliant Gas & Electrical is looking for a qualified electrical technician to join our growing service team across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.

$45–$55 per hour, depending on qualifications, skills and experience

The work

Your day will involve diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, completing preventative maintenance and carrying out installations across commercial customer sites.

You may work on equipment such as:

Commercial ovens and combi ovens
Dishwashers and glasswashers
Fryers, cooktops and other commercial cooking equipment
Food preparation equipment
Electrical and gas-operated catering appliances

You will manage your own workday in the field, with jobs scheduled and supported by our office team. You will not be left chasing customers, arranging your own bookings or trying to manage everything by yourself.

What we are looking for

You will need:

A current Queensland driver licence
A suitable Queensland electrical licence, such as Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, Electrician or a restricted electrical licence suitable for appliance servicing
Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Good customer service and communication skills
The ability to complete accurate job notes and service records
Good organisation and time-management skills
A construction white card
The ability to obtain a satisfactory police check, as we regularly work in aged care and similar environments

A Type A Gas Servicing licence would be an advantage but is not essential. We are prepared to support and pay for suitable technicians to complete this training.
