Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an experienced API Red Hat Developer in Sydney/Melbourne to design, develop and support enterprise-grade API solutions across the Red Hat ecosystem (OpenShift, 3scale).

You will design, develop and deploy RESTful APIs and microservices, implement security, and build CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid, cloud-native environment. Australian citizenship or baseline clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on API development experience using Java, Spring Boot or similar technologies.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
• Experience with Red Hat 3scale API Management.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture and API governance.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing API security controls and authentication frameworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop and deploy containerised applications on Red Hat OpenShift.
• Implement API security controls including OAuth2, JWT and OpenID Connect.
• Integrate applications with internal and external systems using API-led architecture principles.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Support platform governance, optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
