Job summary

Red Hat is seeking an experienced Architect specialized in OpenShift to join our Melbourne/Sydney, Australia team. You will lead discovery sessions, scope cloud-native and containerisation solutions, and define technical goals and execution tasks for delivery success.

The role blends hands-on technical delivery with customer management and supports pre-sales activities to grow Red Hat’s consulting practice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (Kubernetes, container security, cloud-native architecture).
• Deep understanding of Red Hat OpenShift, its operators, built-in tools and automated management capabilities such as GitOps, Pipelines, Service Mesh and Observability. TALM and ZTP experience would be highly regarded.
• Experienced-level working knowledge across related Red Hat products within your primary domain (eg. RHEL, Ansible, OpenShift Service Mesh, ACM).
• Strong understanding of security practices and tools, with a capability to address sophisticated security requirements.
• Experience with software defined storage solutions such as OpenShift Data Foundation or Red Hat Ceph Storage.
• Experience in scripting and automation using Ansible, Python, Perl or Shell scripts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standard OpenShift and cloud-native solution implementations while actively managing customer expectations.
• Act as a technical solution lead on delivery projects, defining goals and execution tasks for delivery teams in collaboration with Project Managers.
• Explain project architecture, container strategies and enterprise Kubernetes designs to customer stakeholders and fellow associates.
• Lead Discovery Sessions, map out container adoption and cloud-native journeys for enterprise clients, and partner with account teams on delivery approaches.
• Translate complex Kubernetes and cloud-native concepts into clear language for non-technical business stakeholders.
• Mentor peers and junior associates up to Architect level and stay current with industry trends.
