Job summary

The Next Step Recruitment Company in North Sydney is seeking an experienced TA Lead (APAC) to oversee talent acquisition across ANZ and select Asia markets. Reporting to the GM of HR APAC, you will shape workforce strategy, build pipelines and deliver best-practice recruitment across the region.

This role requires a trusted advisor with commercial acumen and executive presence to influence hiring decisions and elevate talent acquisition as a strategic function.

Qualifications

• Proven Talent Acquisition leadership within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, mining, infrastructure, resources or similar environments.
• Strong experience recruiting technical, operational and leadership talent.
• The confidence to partner with senior executives and operational leaders.
• Consultative approach to influence decisions rather than taking only job briefs.
• Experience in workforce planning, talent pipelining and recruitment strategy.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working across multiple countries and cultures, ideally within APAC.
• Strong knowledge of ATS and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment across professional, technical, operational and leadership positions.
• Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning and future talent requirements.
• Build proactive talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill skill sets.
• Coach and support HR stakeholders on recruitment best practice.
• Drive an exceptional candidate experience and strengthen employer brand.
• Analyse talent market trends and provide strategic hiring advice.
