Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an APAC Regional Lead for the Law Enforcement Response and Intercept (LER-I) program. You will own the operational delivery in Australia and across APAC, guiding regulatory compliance and interfacing with regulators.

The role includes expanding the program into new markets, working with legal, policy, and business teams, and representing Amazon with regulators. Australian clearances and export controls are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Holder of or eligible for Australian national defense security clearances.
• Experience in regulatory affairs and liaison with government bodies.
• Ability to lead cross-border regulatory programs with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own operational delivery of LER-I in Australia: intake, data sourcing, legal assurance, and decisioning of requests.
• Lead APAC strategy to expand LER-I across Amazon Leo entities, countries, and jurisdictions.
• Serve as primary contact with regulators across APAC for licensure, inquiries, investigations, and audits.
• Partner with BD teams to assess compliance implications of new business models and partnerships in APAC.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align on strategy and expand reach.
• Identify program risks and provide data-backed recommendations to resolve gaps.
