Job summary

Telnyx is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our APAC team in Sydney to architect and ship production systems across voice, messaging, AI, wireless, and edge compute. You’ll work directly with enterprise customers to deploy real-time AI workloads and build scalable solutions that integrate Telnyx APIs and platforms.

You’ll collaborate with customer engineering and leadership to deliver production-grade services, focusing on latency, reliability, and data residency in the APAC region.

Qualifications

• CS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years building software, infrastructure, or working in technical consulting.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Go.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM applications or AI infrastructure in production.
• Experience with LiteLLM or a comparable LLM gateway, including routing and observability.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to understand technical requirements and AI use cases.
• Architect and build production solutions using Telnyx's platforms.
• Build and deploy AI Voice Assistants and LLM-powered applications.
• Deploy and operate LLM infrastructure including open-weight models.
• Design model routing, observability, and cost strategies for production AI workloads.
• Lead technical discovery, POCs, pilots, and production launches.
• Create technical documentation and reference architectures.
