Troocoo Pty is recruiting an AO4 Human Resources Officer for a 12-month labour hire contract based in Nerang on the Gold Coast. The role offers AUD 60.06–65.82 per hour plus 12% super.

You will support day-to-day HR services across the region, partnering with managers, team leaders and employees on a range of workforce matters, HR administration, reporting and lifecycle activities within a compliant framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR, People & Culture or workforce support.
• Understanding of contemporary HR practices and policies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to build stakeholder relationships.
• Experience using HR information systems and reporting.
• Public sector or large private infra/transport exposure is highly desirable.

Troocoo is supporting a critical State Government client with the recruitment of an AO4 Human Resources Officer based in Nerang on the Gold Coast. This is an initial 12-month labour hire contract with potential for extension, offering $60.06-$65.82 per hour plus 12% super.

About the Role

As the AO4 Human Resources Officer, you'll support the delivery of day-to-day HR services across the region, working closely with managers, team leaders and employees on a variety of workforce matters. This is a varied, generalist HR position suited to someone who enjoys balancing stakeholder support, HR administration, reporting and employee lifecycle activities.

You'll be part of a team that plays a key role in ensuring HR processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with legislative and policy requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support to leaders and employees across a broad range of HR matters.
• Research and analyse routine HR issues and provide recommendations in line with relevant policies and legislation.
• Coordinate employee onboarding, inductions and separation processes.
• Support establishment management and payroll-related activities through liaison with internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and process HR documentation, forms and personnel records.
• Utilise HR information systems to maintain employee data, generate reports and monitor workforce information.
• Contribute to employee engagement, culture and recognition initiatives across the region.
• Assist with business improvement activities and continuous process enhancement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships to support positive business outcomes.
• Monitor, collate and report on HR and administrative activities as required.

About You

• Experience within a Human Resources, People & Culture or workforce support environment.
• Sound understanding of contemporary HR practices, policies and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret information and make informed recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to build strong stakeholder relationships at all levels.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement when escalating issues.
• Experience using HR information systems and maintaining accurate workforce data and reporting.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
• Prior Public Sector experience or exposure within a large private infrastructure/transport setting would be highly desirable.
