Job summary

Cotality is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead end-to-end Australian and New Zealand payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance across monthly and fortnightly cycles. You will serve as the in-country expert, supporting employees, managers, and HR across onboarding through offboarding.

You will partner with global payroll, maintain data integrity in Workday/Dayforce, and drive continuous improvement of payroll processes while aligning with legislation and internal policies.

Qualifications

• ANZ payroll experience: 8+ years end-to-end processing.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Work, Awards, STP, Superannuation, AUNZ tax.
• Accurate data verification and maintaining HRIS integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; meet SLAs.
• Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist end-to-end processing of Australian and New Zealand monthly and fortnightly payrolls.
• Execute complex payroll calculations: pro-rata, bonuses, commissions, salary sacrifice, terminations.
• Calculate and manage employee entitlements and verify hours via Time & Attendance systems.
• Handle statutory setup and filings: Superannuation, WorkCover, Centrelink, STP reconciliations, Inland Revenue.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Work, Award updates, and internal policies.
• Maintain HRIS integrity across Workday, Dayforce, and SharePoint.
• Design, test and optimise payroll calendars, workflows, and process documentation.
