Job summary

Hitachi Rail Australia is seeking a Payroll Officer – ANZ to deliver accurate payroll services across Australia and New Zealand. You will work with the external payroll provider, manage data, reconciliations, and compliance while maintaining confidential employee information.

This role requires knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and workflows with SAP, HiNext, and related systems, in a collaborative HR environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing in a complex organisation.
• Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and obligations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly, monthly and other payroll cycles with external provider.
• Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, changes and terminations.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure data privacy and accuracy.
• Support onboarding, changes, and offboarding with payroll information.
