Job summary

Hitachi Rail STS Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Payroll Officer ANZ to deliver accurate, timely payroll across Australia and New Zealand from Perth. You will coordinate with the external provider and internal HR/Finance teams to ensure compliant payroll execution and data integrity.

The role focuses on data validation, process improvement, and maintaining controls within HiNext, SAP and related systems while upholding confidentiality and statutory obligations.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting end-to-end payroll in a complex organisation.
• Knowledge of Australian PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation and record-keeping requirements.
• Experience with outsourced payroll providers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly and monthly payroll cycles with external provider.
• Validate payroll inputs for new hires, changes, terminations and adjustments.
• Prepare and review final and out-of-cycle payments.
• Maintain payroll records in HiNext and SAP.
• Assist with payroll data inquiries from employees and managers.
• Monitor service delivery and escalation of discrepancies with the external provider.
