Job summary

UBS is seeking a Securities Specialist EE to join the Client and Trade Support team in Sydney. You’ll own operational support for NZ equities trading and assist the Australian cash equities business, ensuring accurate trade data and front-to-back controls.

You’ll liaise with clients, brokers and internal teams, perform risk reporting and reconciliations, and contribute to process improvements while upholding regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Middle office background in an investment bank or buy-side firm.
• Strong understanding of the equities trade lifecycle from capture to settlements.
• Proven capability performing front-to-back controls, daily risk reporting and reconciliations.
• Skill in investigating and resolving trade exceptions, booking discrepancies and breaks.
• Confident liaison with clients, brokers, custodians and internal teams.
• Solid knowledge of operational risk frameworks, escalation and control improvements.
• Curiosity about applying AI to improve workflows while adhering to policies.

Responsibilities

• Own primary operational support for New Zealand equities trading activity.
• Support client and trade support for the Australian cash equities business.
• Ensure integrity of T+0 trade capture and maintain accurate trade data.
• Perform daily front-to-back controls, risk reporting and T+1 reconciliations.
• Investigate exceptions, booking discrepancies and trade economics breaks through resolution.
• Liaise with clients, brokers, custodians and internal teams to ensure seamless processing.
