Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead Corporate EHS programs across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The role reports to the Regional EHS Manager, APAC, and requires deep knowledge of WHS in Australia and HSWA in New Zealand.

You will implement Global EHS policies, drive improvements across multiple sites, and engage senior leaders to embed strong EHS standards while managing budgets and reporting performance to regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires 6+ years of experience in EHS management, corporate safety, facilities management, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Master's degree or Graduate Diploma in WHS, Environmental Management, or related field.
• Certified OHS Professional (ChOHSP) via AIHS or HASANZ registration in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Drive EHS strategic improvements across ANZ aligned with Global EHS strategy.
• Ensure compliance with Australian WHS legislation (WHS Act) and NZ HSWA 2015.
• Lead internal audit processes in line with global/regional objectives.
• Manage psychosocial risk programs and incident investigations to identify root causes.
• Coordinate with regulators and cross-functional teams to implement EHS standards.
• Deliver EHS training and support workplaces in emergency preparedness and due diligence.
• Develop and maintain emergency management plans and coordinate drills.
• Support environmental sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency compliance.
• Prepare and manage ANZ EHS budgets and report performance to leadership.
