Job summary

Amazon Australia is seeking a full-time WHS Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety initiatives across AMZL sites. You will coordinate and implement the Amazon Global Safety Program, train associates, and promote a positive safety culture while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

You will communicate clearly, train operations staff, and support the WHS team with risk assessments, data analysis, and continuous improvement using lean principles.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of workplace health & safety (WHS) related field experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to train and coach associates on safety policies and procedures.
• Experience using standard office software (e.g., Word).

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of WHS objectives at the site and advise on WHS matters.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and global standards; perform risk assessments and analyze metrics.
• Conduct site audits and inspections; rectify non‑compliance issues and maintain records.
• Lead and mentor on‑site safety team; facilitate incident investigations and documentation.
• Conduct safety observations, provide training, and participate in process improvements.
