Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific Australia is seeking a senior logistics professional to oversee and enhance 3PL partnerships across ANZ. You will drive efficiency, coordinate operations between Thermo Fisher and 3PLs, and lead a team to deliver cost-effective, compliant service across ambient, cold chain and DG logistics.

You’ll partner with Procurement, Quality, Regulatory and Finance to optimize performance, manage budgets, and report KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering or related field.
• 5–10+ years’ experience in logistics or supply chain roles.
• Proven experience managing 3PLs in regulated environments (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotech).
• Direct experience with cold chain and/or Dangerous Goods logistics in ANZ preferred.
• Experience leading and developing teams within logistics or supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and delivery.
• Ensure daily SO, PO and inventory alignment between Thermo Fisher and 3PLs.
• Oversee ambient, cold chain (2–8°C, frozen) and DG products handling.
• Support product launches, recalls, urgent shipments and demand surges.
• Lead, coach and develop the 3PL team with clear objectives and performance expectations.
• Define, monitor, and analyze KPIs (on-time delivery, OCT, inventory accuracy, temperature excursions).
• Identify bottlenecks and apply Lean/CI to reduce cost and improve service.
• Develop and manage ANZ logistics budgets and monitor spend.
• Prepare and present logistics reports to senior management; collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
