Amazon is seeking an RF Design Engineer to join the Phased Array team working on LEO satellite systems. You will design, validate, and optimize antennas and RF front-ends to deliver high-performance beams across 1 GHz to >30 GHz, spanning space and ground links.

Qualifications

• Experience leading RF design projects and calibration strategies.
• Strong programming and scripting skills for automation.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design over-the-air link models and system performance models using ITU/3GPP style analysis.
• Design and optimize antenna and array architectures to meet RF system goals.
• Own end-to-end RF performance from ADC/DAC through RF front-end to antenna radiation.
• Use EM tools to simulate element/array performance and mutual coupling.
• Collaborate on calibration strategies and measure on-bench performance.
• Define and maintain antenna specs at module/system level.
• Support prototype builds and test campaigns for active antennas.
• Provide DFM/DFT feedback for boards and fixtures.
• Write design reports and present results to leadership.
