Bayside Council is seeking a dedicated Enforcement Officer to join the City Life directorate at the Bayside LGA. The role involves investigating breaches of laws and regulations, including animal control, and applying enforcement actions where needed.

The position requires a Certificate IV in Regulatory Services/Investigations/Animal Management, 3+ years of experience, a Class C driver’s licence, and readiness to work after hours. A strong customer service approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Regulatory Services/Investigations/Animal Management is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in regulatory enforcement or a similar field.
• Current Driver’s Licence Class C is essential.
• Extensive ranger experience or comparable regulatory enforcement background.
• Willingness to work on-call after hours.

Responsabilités

• Investigate breaches of various statutes and local regulations in the Bayside LGA.
• Respond to animal control issues including stray, dangerous and attacking animals, and impounding as required.
• Take enforcement action and issue penalty notices and orders for identified breaches.
• Undertake routine patrols of Council public land and facilities to monitor breaches.
• Respond to community enquiries and provide information on enforcement matters.
• Liaise with authorities in emergency situations and cross-jurisdictional matters.
• Support the team and stakeholders to achieve council priorities.
