Job summary

Glencore’s McArthur River Mine is seeking an experienced Ancillary Operator to join our team. You will operate a range of ancillary equipment in a high-risk open cut environment, adhering to safety standards and engineered designs.

A strong safety mindset and current Australian driver’s license are essential. The role offers a 7 days on/7 nights on/14 off FIFO roster from Darwin, with career growth opportunities and access to exclusive discounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in open cut mining.
• Demonstrated safety focus and risk management.
• Experience operating ancillary equipment with listed machines.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• RII tickets, VOCs and/or Training Transcripts for relevant machinery.

Responsibilities

What we’re Looking For

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in open cut mining, ideally in a remote FIFO operation
• A strong personal commitment to safety, hazard identification and risk management
• Demonstrated experience working to engineered standards and design in a high-risk operational areas, including working with reactive material and around voids
• Proven experience operating ancillary equipment with at least 12 months’ experience on one or more of the following:
• Loaders: CAT 980, 992, 995
• Dozers: CAT D10, D11 (including battering and sheeting work)
• Graders: CAT 18
• Excavators: CAT 336
• Haul Trucks: 793D, 777, 785D
• Ability to operate using precision GPS / machine guidance systems (e.g. Modular or equivalent)
• Current RII tickets, VOCs and/or Training Transcripts for relevant machinery
• A current Australian driver’s licence
