Job summary

Jetstar Airways Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking an Analytics Developer to build and support data products in Airbus Skywise (Palantir Foundry) and Microsoft Power BI. You will develop dashboards, applications and data pipelines to deliver timely insights for Engineering teams.

You will liaise with engineering stakeholders, design data models, and maintain data ingestion from Skywise/Foundry, Oracle, and SharePoint sources.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• 1–2 years' experience in analytics development, BI or data engineering. Internships, graduate programmes or relevant project work welcome.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including Power Query and DAX.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Exposure to Python/PySpark and Palantir Foundry is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with engineering stakeholders to identify opportunities for analytics and translate requirements into scalable applications and reports.
• Design, build, and optimise data models, measures and calculations using dataflows and semantic models with Power Query (M) and DAX.
• Build Skywise/Foundry datasets, transforms and applications.
• Build and maintain data ingestion from Skywise/Foundry, Oracle (TRAX) databases and SharePoint sources.
• Write SQL queries and Python/PySpark transforms to clean, join and shape data.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with end users before releasing to production.
• Document data models, pipelines, business logic and report dependencies.
