Australian Energy Market Operator in Melbourne seeks an Analyst, Data and Reporting to deliver high‑quality reporting, analysis and insights to support business decisions. You will partner with stakeholders, identify opportunities, and improve data management and reporting processes, presenting data clearly to drive informed energy decisions.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, maths, data analytics or related field.

AEMO’s System Design division is at the centre of one of Australia’s most significant energy transformations, helping shape and enable the power system of the future. Within System Design, the Onboarding and Connections Group plays a critical role in bringing new generators,storageand load projects into the National Electricity Market.The team combines high-quality data, practical analytics, fit-for-purpose systems, and clear reporting tomeet regulatory obligations,providetrustedinformationonconnectionswhich helps guidetheenergy transition anddrive continuous improvement across the connections process.

About the role

Working with a variety of stakeholders,you'llhelpidentifyopportunities, improvedatamanagement andreportingprocessesand ensure data is presented in a clear,meaningfuland actionable way. What you will be doing

What you will bring to the role

• Tertiary qualifications inEngineering, Mathematics,Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics,Commerceor a related discipline.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.


• Experience in data analysis,working with large datasets


• Datavisualisationcapability e.g.experienceusing reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.


• Strong communicationand stakeholder engagement skills.


• The ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively across teams.


• A proactive approach,curiosityand a willingness to learn and grow.
