Job summary

Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) – Melbourne VIC is seeking an Analyst, Data and Reporting to deliver high-quality reporting, analysis and insights to support decision-making across the business.

You will develop and maintain reports and dashboards, analyse data for trends, work with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure data quality. This role offers flexible working arrangements across Australian capitals and opportunities to contribute to energy transition.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications inEngineering, Mathematics,Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics,Commerceor a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in data analysis,working with large datasets
  • Datavisualisationcapability e.g.experienceusing reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
  • Strong communicationand stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
  • A proactive approach,curiosityand a willingness to learn and grow.
  • This role will suit someone who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights, building strongrelationshipsand solving problems collaboratively.You'llbring a positive, can-do attitude, strong attention to detail and a desire to make a genuine impact through data-driven decision-making.

AEMO’s System Design division is at the centre of one of Australia’s most significant energy transformations, helping shape and enable the power system of the future. Within System Design, the Onboarding and Connections Group plays a critical role in bringing new generators,storageand load projects into the National Electricity Market.The team combines high-quality data, practical analytics, fit-for-purpose systems, and clear reporting tomeet regulatory obligations,providetrustedinformationonconnectionswhich helps guidetheenergy transition anddrive continuous improvement across the connections process.

About the role

As anAnalyst, Data and Reporting,you'llplayan important rolein delivering high-quality reporting,analysisand insights to support business and operational decision-making.

Working with a variety of stakeholders,you'llhelpidentifyopportunities, improvedatamanagement andreportingprocessesand ensure data is presented in a clear,meaningfuland actionable way. This role can be based inany Australian capital city.
