Job summary

Discover Capital is a Sydney private credit lender focused on first and second mortgages secured by real estate. We seek an Analyst to work with the Managing Director across credit, deal execution and business development in Darlinghurst, Sydney.

The role covers two streams, principal lending and placement, with responsibilities from loan assessment through to settlement and funder submissions, plus marketing and broker acquisition.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or private lending preferred.
• Finance-adjacent roles (banking, broking, valuation, accounting) valued.
• Sales or BD experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Primary: Assess loan scenarios, structure deals and prepare funder submissions, run deals through to settlement with brokers, borrowers and funders.
• Secondary: Marketing content, Facebook and Google ads; broker acquisition via cold calls and email campaigns.

What you'll do

Primary

• Assess loan scenarios: security, borrower, exit and risk
• Structure deals and prepare funder submissions
• Run each deal through to settlement, including calls with brokers, borrowers and funders

Secondary

• Marketing: content, Facebook and Google ads
• Broker acquisition: cold calls, email campaigns and onboarding

Reporting line

You report to the Managing Director. Credit decisions sit with the Managing Director and the funder's credit team: you recommend, they approve.

• Competence and professionalism. You'll deal directly with clients, brokers and funders from day one.

Experience

• Preferred: commercial or private lending
• Also valued: finance-adjacent roles (banking, broking, valuation, accounting)
• Highly regarded: sales or BD experience, or a clear appetite for it
• Not required: SharePoint, template or funder due diligence pack experience. We'll teach you
