Our Client in Melbourne seeks an experienced Credit Analyst focused on commercial and SME lending to assess applications, analyse financial information and structure credit solutions. You will work with BDMs, brokers and internal teams to understand transactions and ensure policy alignment.
Ideal candidates have strong cash flow analysis, credit risk understanding and the ability to deliver structured recommendations in a fast-paced lending environment.
Our client is a growing financial services business with a strong focus on supporting Australian businesses through a range of commercial lending solutions.
Operating in a fast-paced, progressive environment, the business continues to grow and offers Credit Analysts the opportunity to work exclusively across business lending, rather than splitting their time between consumer and commercial credit.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing commercial or SME lending experience who wants to deepen their exposure to business credit, work across a variety of lending scenarios and join a strong team.
Reporting to an exceptional Credit Manager, you will be responsible for assessing commercial and SME lending applications, working across products including Line of Credit and Asset Finance.
This is a genuinely commercial credit role. You will analyse bank statements, financial statements and supporting information, identify key credit risks and prepare structured credit recommendations in line with lending policy and risk appetite.
You will also work closely with BDMs, internal relationship teams, customers and brokers to understand transactions, clarify information and help structure appropriate commercial lending solutions.
This role will suit someone who already has exposure to commercial or business lending and wants to continue building their career within that space.
You may currently be working within business banking, commercial finance, asset finance, SME lending or a non-bank lender.
The position description specifically calls for experience in commercial or SME credit assessment, including financial and bank statement analysis, together with exposure to business lending products.
